Whether you choose 'direct payment' or 'pay and claim' we provide a quick and easy claims process.
Some benefits need to be pre-authorised by us so make sure to check your health plan guide.
This is a summary of the claiming process, please refer to your 'Table of benefits', 'Terms and Conditions' and insurance certificate for full details on how claims will be paid.

DIRECT PAYMENT

We pay your benefits provider directly.

We send a claim payment statement to the policyholder.

PAY AND CLAIM

You pay your benefits provider yourself and submit the claim.

You go to the benefits provider for treatment.

You can contact us by phone or email to request a claim form.

You go to the benefits provider for treatment and pay for your treatment.

Your benefits provider contacts us directly. We send your benefits provider a pre-authorisation statement.

A copy will also be sent to you on request.

Your medical practitioner should complete the medical information section on the claim form.

The benefits provider will ask you to sign the pre-authorisation statement when you arrive for treatment.

You should complete all other sections, attach the original and fully itemised invoices (Fa Piao) and submit your claim by post to this address:

We pay you for eligible treatment in line with the 'Table of benefits', 'General Exclusions' and 'Terms and Conditions' of your plan.

If a co-insurance* or deductible applies to any part of your claim, you will need to pay this to the benefits provider. We will reimburse the claim to the benefits provider minus the shortfall you have already paid.

At AIC, we review our products on a regular basis to keep them relevant, fit for purpose and in the best interest of our customers.
With effect from 01/01/2021, we had decided not to renew the Premier Worldwide Health Option (Policy). All customers affected by the discontinuation of this Policy type will be notified 3 months before policy expiry by post (the Communication). The discontinuation of the Policy would not affect any eligible medical treatments and? / or claims approved or incurred before the policy expiry date. To ensure customers are protected at all times, an alternative arrangement of cover is proposed to cater for their insurance need. Details of the proposals are included in the Communication. Customers may also contact 95552 or their appointed brokers / agents for details of the arrangement.
